Personal data
HedgieTools does not collect any personal data from its tools: the files and texts you use are processed only in your browser, and are neither sent to, nor stored on, our servers.
The site uses anonymous, cookie-free audience measurement (Vercel Web Analytics) to count page visits. It does not identify you.
The only information we receive is what you choose to send us: a message through the contact, suggestion or bug forms (hosted by Tally), or your e-mail address if you subscribe to the newsletter (hosted by Brevo).

Cookies and local storage
HedgieTools does not set any advertising or tracking cookie. The only exception: if you start filling in the newsletter form, Google reCAPTCHA may set a technical security cookie. The site also saves, in your browser, a few preferences it needs to work: light or dark theme, favorite tools, custom tools and the order of the lists. This data stays on your device, and you can delete it at any time by clearing the site's data in your browser.
Intellectual property
The name HedgieTools, the logo, the texts and the design of the site are the property of JOAZCO, unless stated otherwise. Any reproduction without permission is prohibited.
The files you create or transform with the tools belong entirely to you: HedgieTools never has access to them and claims no right over them.
The site relies on open-source software, notably Next.js, React, Lucide, Mediabunny, PDF.js, pdf-lib and fflate. Their licenses remain those of their authors.
Two of these tools use software under copyleft licenses: GIF compression uses gifsicle (opens in a new tab), released under the GNU General Public License, and MP3 export uses the LAME (opens in a new tab) encoder, released under the GNU Lesser General Public License. Their source code is available at the links given.
Liability
The tools are provided free of charge, as is. We do our best to make them work properly, but we cannot guarantee that they are error-free. Always keep a copy of your original files.
The site may contain links to other sites. We are not responsible for their content.
Applicable law
This legal notice is governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, and failing an amicable agreement, the French courts will have sole jurisdiction.
